What is the minimal amount of auto insurance required in Texas?

A: Currently, the minimal amounts of liability insurance that everyone must carry are 30/60/25. That means $30,000 per person, $60,000 per accident and $25,000 for property damages. Liability insurance only protects the other drivers for an accident which is your fault. It doesn't protect you if you are hit by someone with no insurance or not enough insurance.
